ICE MELT BUILDUP

STAIN: White residue on carpet; eventual permanent discoloration.
CONTAINS: Ice melter salts (sodium chloride, calcium chloride, or potassium chloride) tracked into commercial buildings during winter season.

1. Discuss problem with customer before taking action. Pre-test in an inconspicuous area to determine whether ice melter has permanently discolored carpet, and effectiveness of salt removal.
2. Rinse extract the area with an ALL FIBER RINSE solution, based on 8oz/gallon water.
3. Ensure adequate drying of carpet using forced air ventilation.
Note: Although ice melter salts dissolve in water, an ALL FIBER RINSE solution speeds their removal from carpet and more effectively remove salts embedded into the carpet. Walk-off mats are also recommended at entryways to reduce salt track-in.
